Spring is Here!

After many cold weeks of spring training at Rip City we are finally seeing the light. Spring is here and it's time to play baseball. The boys worked hard during spring training as we worked on pitching, fielding and hitting. Although working out in Rip City isn't easy due to the limited space we made it work and we feel the boys got a lot out of it.

The next big step will be playing together in a game and that starts next weekend with the April Fools Tournament in Manassas, Va. We will be playing some of the best teams in the area, so it will be a challenge. The teams in our division for the tournament are: Virginia Stars Blue, Blue Ridge Senators, Loudoun South Eagles, UMAC Attack, and Potomac Riverdogs. We start off by playing the Virginia Stars and then the Loudoun South Eagles. Both of these teams have been playing together for a couple of years now, so they have a head start on us, but that doesn't scare us.

The regular season begins the following weekend when we play a local rival, the Blue Ridge Senators. We are all excited to get the season going and hope to see everyone out there in their Cavalry spirit wear cheering us on!
